Metro Community Website

A static web experience prioritizing simple content, authentic photography, and story telling to connect people to the Metro Community.

After working with Metro Community to develop and launch their brand, Colbyhub and AJDK worked together to design and build a new website. This web experience had to be simple, uncluttered, but also informative across many different branches of Metro.

Actual Metro Photography

We felt no writing or web design could ever compete with what their images could communicate so this website is photography forward. Most elements were designed to allow an image of any quality and composition to be the feature. This community is vibrant and diverse with so many great stories and we wanted those to come through all over the website.

The Marker

The marker texture is an important part of the Metro brand. It symbolizes a bold statement, a casual mark, and something creative. This marker texture is infused throughout the web design in subtle and tasteful ways so it’s there, but not overwhelming.

The Colour

A large part of Metro is their Sunday Church Gatherings. Each Sunday features a message which is a part of a series which would have artwork designed for it. Because these series designs would have colours outside the Metro brand, the message pages were designed to recolour based on tones that match the series artwork.
